On February 11 of this year, an Agreement between POSCO International Textile and Tashkent State Agrarian University was signed in Tashkent. According to the vice-rector of the University Sohib Yakhshibekovich, this is a new stage in the cooperation of manufacturing enterprises with educational institutions of the country. The document provides for joint activities of organizations in the agricultural sector to grow raw cotton, increase land productivity and apply innovative ideas in cotton growing. Earlier, on December 17, 2021, a memorandum of cooperation between POSCO International Corporation, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Uztekstilprom Association was signed on the creation of a textile and cotton cluster, the modernization of existing facilities and the increase in the production of mixed yarn and fabric.
